Selling to a Dealer

Welcome to the 'Dealer' section of SellMyStuff.info where we try to give you a few tips and pointers for disposing of your unwanted items to a local dealer.

Local antiques dealers, specialist hobbyist shops, sports stores, car dealers and the likes may well be interested in collectibles / surplus items / vehicles that you wish to dispose of.

The advantage of going to a dealer and seeing if they will make an offer for your item(s) is that you do not have to deal with numerous enquiries from potential buyers or endure a lengthy period of time from advertisement to actual sale.

The disadvantage, of course, is that a dealer will be intending to pass the item on to another dealer, collector or other member of the public, at a profit - naturally. The hope is that they will be able, through their experience and contacts, and be expecting to gain the best possible sale price and so the amount that they will be able to offer the seller will still be a fair and reasonable figure.
